My MSc project has developed a kind of novel medical polymer, which can resist acid but dissolves quickly in alkaline solution. Solution polymerization, material characterisation and toxicity test, and its application to pharmaceuticals are involved in my research. The final outcome showed that the polymer has a practical application to be the enteric material.

My PhD research project here focus on the chemical imaging of biological cells using ToF-SIMS. I will exploit the remarkable properties of ion beams (C₆₀⁺, Au⁺ etc) to produce 2D and 3D chemical maps of individual biological cells.
